The duties of a network/system administrator typically includes managing network equipment, servers, and desktops.  Depending on the organization, the network administrator might also be in charge of the lower level technology staff/tech support.  Additionally, network administrators will be troubleshooting failures when the occur, as well as implementing new systems and other projects.

I found several positions in Indiana.  Most of them require atleast two years of experience in IT.  In general, they are wanting people who are familiar with Windows Server/Active Directory, as well Cisco network equipment.  Two of them also mentioned having experience with Citrix as a plus.  Certifications were also mentioned as being “preferred.”  One requires a associates degree in a related field, one requires a bachelors degree, and the third does not mention any degree requirements.
